I joined the Messaging team at Blocket in December 2021, which is responsible for the chat feature of the Swedish marketplace.
Over the course of the following year, I contributed to fix reported bugs, made some progress on refactoring and isolating the chat as a module in the midst of the whole codebase, and delivered some new features, like the user verification via sms and BankId.
I joined later the Personalised Frontpage team, whose responsibility it is to deliver to the user a feed of tailored components, relying heavily on user behaviour analysis.
Around February 2022, Schibsted launched the Nordic Market Place project, which will merge all the nordic countries marketplaces inside the company. To this purpose, I was assigned to a cross-nordic team which focused for about 6 months on transforming one of our mono-market app into a multi-market capable one, through refactoring and leveraging flavours.
The following step was to rejoin my own feature team, and together we’re in the process of taking over the personalised frontpage domain as our own. We have already put out some refactored component to improve cross-market compatibility, and a new feature leveraging the Design system that is being developed in parallel for the whole project.
